The Aquarium

Last Saturday Kenna and I, my friend Jen and her two little girls all headed to the Aquarium, in Denver. The kids had so much fun! And I even enjoyed looking at all the exotic fish!

Settled, Finally.

Well, we have finally gotten settled in the new place in Denver. We love the apartment and the location is great! It only takes me 30 minuites to get downtown to my job, which by the way I love. I was a little dissapointed because the business office isn't full of young people my age, which is a great place to make friends, but they are all really nice and I seem to have caught on real quick and am just working my little heart out. Kenna's babysitter is great! She has managed in the few weeks she has been there to get Kenna potty trained... but only at her house. At home its a whole other story. Every time I ask Kenna to sit on the potty, she says, "No. At Shona's house!" It'll come, and hopefully soon.
As always Kenna, Jen and I have a blast just hanging out, the three of us! And I am so greatful for Jen, as she is always willing to help out with Kenna! Which is much needed some days!

Our New Home... for now.

Next week I will be finally moving to Denver. I am moving with one of my current roommates into these really cute apartments! I will finally be able to stop my hour and half commute to and from work each day, which, by the way is a killer on the ol' gas bill. I started my job in downtown Denver at an orthopedic practice at a well know medical center. We actually treat quite a few the Av's players, which is pretty cool. I am still looking for a daycare for Kenna but have a few interviews next week, so I am hopefull.

The past few weeks... or months... who knows whats ahead for Kenna and I, but I am excited to see whats next!

St. Mary's Glacier And Spending time with My sister!

This weekend Kenna, Jason and I went up to the mountains and had a great picnic lunch and just walked around. It was very relaxing and nice to spend some time in nature.

Also for the last couple of weeks Leisa and her daughter have been in town. Leisa's husband also just came in town last night! It has been so nice to spend time with them! Last Saturday we took the girls to Jumpin'! One of Kenna's favorite places! And after a little while, Abby finally warmed up to the whole bounce house thing! It was fun for the girls!

Is the Summer really coming to an end?

This summer has been really busy, plenty of lazy days and plenty of fun times with friends!

Swimming and Bar-B-Ques

Along with that goes new people in me and Kenna's life, a new job, starting in 2 weeks in Denver! Which, of course, means moving, again! It is sad to see this summer end. We had a blast! Got to go to the lake and go boating, got back up on the knee board, tube, all that good stuff... But we are looking forward to what is in store for us in Denver!

Kenna's First Sleep Over

So this weekend Kenna had her first sleep over with a few friends. A friend of mine from work offered to watch Kenna over night while I went to the Rockies game on Saturday night. She has two girls just about Kenna's age. And even though Kenna has stayed the night many times away from me, it was never a technical sleep over. This time there were kids her age for her to play with.

It sounded like they had a blast, and luckily Kenna was well behaved! I also had a blast at the Rockies game. Even though baseball is my very least favorite sport, it is always enjoyable to go to a game, but only every once in awhile, expecially if you have great company, as I did!

Getting Ready for Yet Another Move

This week will be another week of preparing for a move. The move to my Parent's house was temporary, but that doesn't make the preparations any easier when moving into a new place. Unfortunately I'm not sure how long we will be staying at this place either, probably just a few months! It's funny how I moved from Colorado with all the intentions to finally get grounded and have ended up moving just as much as often as I have for the last 6 years! Which in reality makes me quite the expert at moving. I am planning to move in a week from today, and at this moment I have every intention of spending my free time this week getting everything organized for the move, but the reality of it is I will wait until Sunday night and throw everything into a box/bags/whatever I can get my stuff into in order to get it out of one house and into another!

This past week or so my friend Jenn has been out of town. We have just in the last few months we have become really close, and until she was gone I didn't realize how much I rely on her as a friend! I felt lost without her close by, or at work to talk to!

So I am glad to say she is back and things feel normal again! But me and Kenna had plenty of time to spend together. Some days I feel like we argue, as much as you can argue with a 2 year, more then anything but at the end of the day she will always be everything to me!
